You Can Help
TTMAC volunteer Maggie Wehr discusses Chapman/Beverley Mill history with a visitor inside the mill in May, 2010 Chapman's Mill is in need of volunteers willing to do the following tasks:
  • Give tours of the mill to visitors
  • Collect oral histories from people associated with the mill
  • Write articles for the website
  • Transcribe audio tapes of those oral interviews
  • Organize articles, newspaper clippings, documents etc. into notebooks
  • Photograph and scan our collections of documents, artifacts and articles for storage in electronic form
  • Mat and frame pictures, photos and flower bags
  • Do research on African American heritage at Chapman's Mill
  • Do research on Mosby's Rangers activity in the Thoroughfaire Gap

"Turn The Mill Around Campaign" is interested in Eagle Scout projects being held at Chapman's Mill. There is a variety of interesting tasks to be completed at this much neglected site of national history. Eagle Scout project hours will be deemed as an "in-kind service" and possibly used to help match grant monies. Please call 540-253-5888 for further information.
